5 out of 5 stars Worth The Investment   April 10, 2007
I'm pleased I decided to purchase this set of pans. I was looking for non-stick functionality and stainless steel beauty. Cuisinart had delivered both.

The lids for this set are stainless steel and when boiling water they don't rattle at all, it's a nice tight seal (I had a previous set of stainless steel pans with glass tops that were rimmed in metal and anytime I boiled anything it would spit water out...these do not do that at all.)

The pans are Heavy Duty steel, not lightweight. I REALLY like the 3.5 quart saucepan. It's a new shape/size for me. It's a very good size for making stews and chili's where you're not sure exactly how much liquid you'll be adding.

The manufacturer recommends not using the dishwasher in order to prolong the life of the pans, however, they are dishwasher safe. Also, as if I had to mention this, don't stack the pans or they will scratch and therefore not last as long.

Amazon had this out the door with in 2 days of my keystroke to order and on my doorstep within 5...maybe they sent it priority by mistake?? :) I'm not complaining; I was cooking with them a week after I ordered. Do youself a favor and make an investment in your household with this set of pans. You'll be proud to have company over and not ashamed of your mis-matched, scratched and dented pans. Hurry though, the price has gone up about fifty dollars since I ordered a few months ago.

5 out of 5 stars Great Cookware Value   March 25, 2007

A while back, I started searching for a set of moderately-priced everyday cookware -- preferably non-stick stainless and dishwasher-safe. I have been a long-time fan of Cuisinart appliances, but didn't think to check out their cookware line until I saw this set on Amazon. It met all of my criteria, the Amazon price was amazing, and on the strength of the Cuisinart name, I ordered it. I am not disappointed.

The product quality is excellent and having an all 18/10 stainless exterior, it looks great too. I also have a "good" set of Caphalon hard-anodized cookware (not dishwasher-safe) which really does a nice job of cooking, but I would have to say that the Cuisinart is nearly its equal in terms of cooking performance, and a lot more user-friendly when it comes to clean-up.

If this is the style of cookware and the functionality you are looking for, I would say that you would be hard-pressed to find a better product at this price on the market.

4 out of 5 stars love my cookware   March 8, 2007
i am very pleased with the look and the performance of my new cookware...the largest pan is a bit heavy for me to lift but im thankful they all have two handles....they get hot tho.....and so do the lids.....but the evenness of the heat distribution and the shiny look have me happy

5 out of 5 stars Perfect Set, Right Price, Unbeatable Purchase!   February 19, 2007

Having just recently purchased this set, I am so impressed with the performance that I need to write a review right away. We've been cooking up a storm these last several days and have put them through all sorts of tests and they emerged beautifully. My favorite points:

1) The non-stick surface is better than any I've ever worked with in the kitchen. Everything from eggs to glazes to burgers slid out effortlessly! Clean up is incredibly simple and quick.

2) Beautifully shiny - Although I'm certain over time they may endure some scratches (especially with children who love to get in the pots and pans cupboard), the mirror-like polish is beautiful. Very clean looking and makes it fun to cook.

3) The handles are easy grasp and feel good in your hand. Each pot/pan is quite substantial but not so heavy that it hinders their use.

4) The seal tight lids held in all the good juices and I really loved how quickly everything cooked.

5) The heat distribution, even in the smaller pan, was incredible. As the product instructions state, it is best to use a lower heat setting due to the superior conductivity. How true! I could cook at nearly half the setting of my old pans, and brought some things to a boil at only a "2" setting on a 1-10 electric stove.

The only "con" would be that the handles of the lids do become quite hot, so be sure to use a holder as that surprised me. The handles of of the pots and pans themselves, however, remained cool to the touch.

I was so pleased with this set that I returned to purchase some other Cuisinart pieces (e.g., 12 inch Classic Non-Stick skillet). Although I'm far from a professional chef (!!) I'm a mom who cooks regularly for a family of four and this set more than met my needs - it even surpassed them. The price was outstanding and I count it as one of my best kitchen purchases ever.

5 out of 5 stars Best Bang For Your Buck   January 30, 2007

I was looking specifically for stainless non-stick. Cuisinart offered the most options in their 10pc set. Others I looked at (Henckels, Calphalon) didn't have as much in their set and where considerably more money with out offering any more functionality. Cooking and cleaning is a cinch. Bought a couple of single pieces to complete my set. 12" wok (by calphalon) and a 12" fry. Only wish the finish was brushed stainless. Actual finish is glossy chrome.
