5 out of 5 stars P.S. I Love You   September 18, 2008

I LOVE this movie! Good story. Wonderful cast. Great acting. Beautiful photography, especially in Ireland. It made me laugh. It made me cry. And I am now officially in love with Gerard Butler.

5 out of 5 stars G8 ESCAPE   September 14, 2008
I do not get to see my daugther very much since she is away at college. When "P.S. I Love You" was released last Dec. 2007, I was able to see it with her when it was released in the theatres. It was a wonderful movie to watch with your grown daughter and Kathy Bates as the mother was fabulous. We both walked away from the movie emotionally drained but I believe my daughter felt a little different towards me after the experience of watching P.S. with me. The DVD version of P.S. was released shortly before my daughter's B-Day and I was able to order it from Amazon and have it shipped directly to her apt. in Columbus, OH. I highly recommend this movie to anyone, BUT especially to all mothers with grown daughters to watch it together. They will see exactly what I mean at the ending. This is a movie NOT TO MISS and can be seen several times and should end up as a timeless classic.

4 out of 5 stars Pretty Good   September 1, 2008
Hilary lights up the screen and so does her co-star. Good acting jobs including a co-starring role from the great Kathy Bates. (Remember "Misery??)

Good story, and a great movie to watch with my wife Debbie.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is also extremely good in a supporting role. Like the guitar playing :)

2 out of 5 stars dissappointing   August 25, 2008

I personally did not care for this movie as it seems to be really slow. This movie would be good for someone who has lost a wife or husband, not so much for just an average viewer. Hillary Swank was not able in my opinion to bring the emotion to the film that was needed.

5 out of 5 stars Love lives on   August 24, 2008

Having been widowed, I found this movie not only very realistic but very uplifting. Holly finds starting over after the death of her husband easier because of Jerry's last act of love for his wife. He knew how to help her heal and begin a new life because he knew her best.

Grief is accurately depicted as crushing without bogging the film down in sentiment or floods of tears. This film is proof that our loved ones remain with us, and life goes on.
