My husband loves to use rock salt when he cooks and this is wonderful. It looks nice sitting out on the counter and it is easy to get your hands in.

Great salt box November 3, 2008
It holds a decent amount, it stays put while the lid (easily) slides open with one hand, and it's easy to grab a large pinch from, even if it's not filled to the top. Well worth it.

I have enjoyed using this product. It does not hold a whole box of kosher salt, but its nice having it easily available to take a pinch when needed, yet keep it covered, unlike the cooks on many Food Network shows. Its fun to use.
