The cap sealing the upper end of the pump came off first time used, but was easily reattached and sealed with super glue. Other than that, no problems. Indeed, unit seems much smoother operating than the old, worn-one it replaced.

Neither of the two stoppers that were included had the slits that are required to allow the air to pass through them; they were both defective. When I took a good stopper that I already had, placed it on an open bottle of wine, and attempted to pump the air out of it, the handle of the pump instantly broke off into my hand. Before even opening the box, I was worried due to the cheap, generic appearance. The quality of the product was equally poor. To Amazon's credit, however, the return process was easy and they refund the entire amount that I had paid.
