An excellently engineered vacuum November 22, 2008
We were in need of a vacuum with the following features: great suction, light-weight, easy to manuever in tight places, quality construction, and backed by a company with the best warranty and service. Our previous vacuum had died and our carpet needed help with "deep-down" dirt, hair, and other elements. After extensive research, and after considering the Tyson DC-25, we ordered the DC-18 from Amazon. Close friends have had the DC-18 for the past year and highly recommended it. This is the very best vacuum we could have purchased and Amazon is a the very best place to buy. We have been very pleased in every way. I might add that we tried the DC-25 in a retail outlet, and were very impressed. We feel the DC-18 is just as good for less money.

This is a great vacuum! I use it everyday and am still amazed at how much dust and dirt I can find in my house. I only gave it 4 stars because I wish it were a little easier to use on my stairs.

This Dyson is wonderful.. I have contemplated this purchase for a long while.. All of my friends have one, however, I had a hoover bagless with some cyclone tecnology... Not at all,... it was the worst vacuum I have ever owned.

It sounded like a frieght train. It had so many area's that were needing to be changed and cleaned..I have no pets,.. and it was horrible..

My Dyson is easy to use and really does have wonderful suction. It has a very easy to use hose, I love it...

This vacuum is the best - it picks up everything!! The design makes it easy to maneuver and clean. I had an issue where it stopped sucking and realized the filter was clogged. As soon as I removed the stuff that accumulated, it was sucking once again.

I wondered if the vacuum would be worth the money and it is.
