2 out of 5 stars Not stiff enough   October 28, 2008
Tihs brush is not stiff enough for cast iron. Didnt work for anything that sticks to cast iron. I prefer a metal brush.

1 out of 5 stars Lodge Cast Iron Scrubber Brush   October 20, 2008
Looks good but started to fall apart shortly after a few uses. Cheap ones from WalMart or Target are better.

2 out of 5 stars It's okay.   October 17, 2008
It's an okay scrubber. Not much different than any other that you'd buy from the grocery store. It is not heat resistant. Even after letting my cast iron griddle cool for quite a while, using the scrubber and some hot water caused the tips of the scrubber to melt. The bristles also started to fall out before it melted. Again, it's an okay brush, just make sure your pans are completely cooled before using.

4 out of 5 stars Good scrubber   October 15, 2008
Good scrubber for skillets. Bought it because it was advertised as dishwasher safe. It is.

1 out of 5 stars A dog of a dish brush, IMHO   October 11, 2008
This brush is sold locally at the only high-end cookware shop in town, and I bought it originally because I thought they would sell quality stuff. The bristles began falling out of the first one within a week or so, as I recall. The second one lasted a bit longer, but the head cracked and a couple of the bristle bundles fell out (jeapordizing the disposal, I think, because they are small enough to jam under the little things that whirl around in there and do the grinding, and, they are quite tough). I have gone through a couple more of them and had varying experiences. The bristles on the one I'm using now have curled badly and don't do a proper job of scrubbing. If I could find a better bet in a dish brush locally I'd just buy it; but a good dish brush seems to be a thing that is hard to find. Kellog made one years ago, but they stopped selling it, and since then it's been a constant quest for me. Another beef I have with this Lodge brush is that the loop at the end irritates my palm when I use it, and so I've taken off the loop and made a different arrangement for hanging it.
