Generously sized and tapered toward the rims to intensify and concentrate bouquet, the six glasses in this set are perfect for serving both red and white wines. Each glass has a capacity of 14-3/4 ounces so it can hold a full serving and still have ample evaporation surface for a wine's full aroma to rise in its tapered chimney. The glasses are machine-blown of 5 percent lead crystal, providing excellent transparency and brilliance for showcasing color and clarity. Elegant, finely balanced, lightweight yet sturdy, they have thin rims to ensure smooth sipping and are dishwasher-safe. Each glass is 8-1/4 inches high. Beware the mouth opening is very small September 16, 2008
compared to the vino grande series these glasses, though good quality have quite narrow opening - narrower than usual... this is also the case with the burgundy collection which also has a narrower then usual mouth... go with the vino grande instead of the authentis

Great glasses for the price. Purchased 2 sets - each set had a broken glass upon receipt. Amazon service remedied the problem by quickly shipping out another set.

We have the Bordeaux Wine Glasses and the flutes, as well. Love them all. Such a great glass for a very reasonable price.

These white wine glasses are very strong. One fell the other night from our counter to the floor (hardwood)and did not so much as chip.

I highly recommend all the Spiegelau glasses.

Product is great. This was to be my second shipment of glasses from Amazon. Trouble, as noted in other reviews, is that Amazon seems unable to ship wine glasses without breaking them. First order last year had 1 broken out of 18 so I kept them; you have to return entire package to Amazon if one broken. This order has 2 broken out of 6 and Amazon could not fill order due to product shortage. Amazon packages glasses as if they are books. Amazon needs to get act together or get out of this line of business.
