    Amazon.com Review
This thermometer takes the guesswork out of cooking meats and poultry. Its easy-to-read 2-3/4-inch dial measures temperatures from 120 to 200 degrees F. A guide on the dial's face shows proper meat and poultry temperatures, from rare beef to well-done turkey, and a red arrow on the rim can be moved to a desired temperature as a reminder. The thermometer is made of stainless steel, has a 4-1/2-inch stem, and is dishwasher-safe. --Fred Brack

1 out of 5 stars juices leaked into dial   December 8, 2008
I used this thermometer once, in the Thanksgiving turkey, and somehow juices from the turkey leaked into the dial. It was not in anyway submerged, so I don't know how it happened, but it had to be thrown away.

    5 out of 5 stars Fantastic   September 14, 2008

I primarily use this to monitor the temperature of steamed milk, but I use it to test meats as well, it works every time. The large dial is easily readable and slightly cumbersome. I have owned this for over a year, it is durable, it is accurate, it was worth my money

5 out of 5 stars Meat thermometer - not bad   May 5, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

Good, accurate meat thermometer. You can't leave it in the meat in the oven, but it gives good, accurate readings. Be careful when buying a thermometer - you need accuracy. Most grocery store thermometers don't give you that and are thus valueless. This will take a minute to come to a stable reading. Be patient.

1 out of 5 stars Good while it lasted   May 1, 2008
I bought this in October 2007 and used it a total of three times... it worked well when I used it but unfortunately, stopped working. I noticed the last time I used it there was water in the display after washing it by hand.

    1 out of 5 stars 20 degrees off!   April 26, 2008
1 out of 1 found this review helpful

Thermometers are not always accurate. I'm glad I tested mine before using it. It is 20 degrees off! Water boils at 212F, but my thermometer read 190 degrees. Even after leaving the thermometer in the boiling water for a couple of minutes, it did not get past 192 degrees. I was expecting it to be a little off, but 20 degrees? That's a little obnoxious. I will be replacing this thermometer as quickly as possible. I'm sorry I wasted the money.
