Differing from the classic inverted cone of most martini glasses, this one features a slight curve at the rim that echoes the modern diamond shape of Riedel's Vinum Extreme line. Beautifully balanced and with just the right mixture of delicacy and stability, the seven-inch-tall, generously sized glass holds up to 8-3/4 ounces of any cocktail or martini. This set of two makes a handsome wedding gift or adds to an existing collection for the home bartender.

Riedel developed the Vinum Extreme line to meet the demand of today's increasingly more concentrated wines. Though produced in Bavaria of more than 24 percent lead crystal, which lends superb brilliance and clarity, Vinum Extreme glasses are affordable because they are machine-made rather than mouth-blown. While dishwasher-safe, Vinum Extreme crystal is best washed by hand to prevent detergent residue that can affect wine taste. --Ann Bieri
