5 out of 5 stars The only bento you'll ever need   November 17, 2008
I was surprised by how large the size was for a 'mini bento'. It is almost too pretty to use as a lunch box.
The color looks black, but has tiny, gold sparkles and glitters in the sunshine.
Once you take out the tray inside and the 1- small 2 sectioned compartment and lay it all out flat you can see that you can put a lot of food in it. I put my rice in the bottom and some veg or meat in the top and a few small things in the smaller tray.
If you want soy sauce you have to buy a small leak proof container because the small tray doesn't have a lid. You can fit a small spoon or fork on top of the plastic lid before you close it all up and I love the thick, stretchy band, which holds it all together.
The japanese have the art of 'lunch' down pat.
I love the fact that I can bring homemade, wholesome foods to work everyday. I like to pack a little of all the leftovers from the night before which that makes my lunch more interesting. Everyone wants to see what I've brought in everyday, its quite the conversation piece.
The size will be a shock for most people because you'll say...is this all I should be eating for lunch?? and reality..it is. You'll spend much mess time snoozing on your desk after lunch. lol

5 out of 5 stars A precious work of art   October 4, 2008
This is a beautiful little piece of art that turns any lunchtime or snack into an elegant affair. Yes, it is quite small, but the interior spaces are cunningly arranged and this holds quite enough food for a light lunch or heavy snack. I love to see it in my tote as I run through the day.
