A perfect wedding present, this Coquille cake plate serves a dual purpose: The domed top inverts to become a punch bowl. The sculpted handle on the dome top inserts into the pedestal base for security, and the cake platter becomes a drip plate to hold cups. Made of heavy crystal, the brilliant dome is comprised of feathery, fan-like shells (the word coquille means shell or scallop in French), while the platter features a raised rim. An elegant cake server and punch ladle, both silver-plated, are included in the set.

Godinger, the choice of many newlyweds, is renowned for both silver and crystal giftware and tableware. This is beautiful 24% lead crystal. No, the silver is not included, it is just shown for display purposes.

Beautiful - but server and ladle not included December 21, 2007
It is beautiful but I'm extremely annoyed by the fact that the cake server and ladle were missing from the package. I have yet to file a complaint and have this resolved.

Godinger Cake Plate December 6, 2007
I did not get all the items shown with this item. I received the cake plate but the the serving pieces. I submitted a complaint and the item was reshipped. The serving pieces were not in the second shipment either.
