Exuding the romance of a bygone era, this Coquille basket could be straight out of a Jane Austen drawing room. Made of heavy, brilliant crystal, the oblong basket is formed of feathery, fan-like shells (the word coquille means shell or scallop in French), topped by a high arching handle. Charming even when empty, the basket begs to be filled with fresh flowers or fruit, or even colorful knitting yarn. Other items from the Coquille collection include a pedestal bowl, pedestal vase, and cake plate, all of which make superb gifts.

Godinger, renowned for both silver and crystal giftware and tableware, is the brand choice of many newlyweds. Like all fine crystal, the handled basket should be carefully washed by hand, especially the delicate scalloped rim, in order to preserve its clarity for generations to come. --Ann Bieri

Beautiful! July 30, 2008
This is so much nicer than you can tell by a picture! It is extremely heavy and the etching is lovely. Well worth the price. I purchased this for a wedding shower gift and am thoroughly pleased with it.
