Amazon.com Review
Cooking Sunday breakfast for one or two becomes a pleasurable task with this compact waffle maker. Red and green lights indicate when to add batter and when the 7-inch round waffle is done. A regulating thermostat and a five-setting control produce waffles perfectly browned to personal preference. With a brushed stainless-steel exterior and sleek design, the waffle maker looks elegant in any kitchen and stores upright in compact spaces. The nonstick round plate is divided into four quarters and wipes clean easily. This classic waffle maker measures 8 by 9-1/2 by 3 inches, and comes with a three-year warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

4 out of 5 stars Makes Waffles   December 1, 2008
Delivers what it promises. Waffle making is not a complex science, and this is all you'll need for them to come out fine and dandy.

5 out of 5 stars Love this little appliance   November 29, 2008
A couple years ago I was looking for a traditional style waffle maker. I do not like Belgian waffles (I think they soak up too much syrup and get mushy faster). I found this Cuisinart round waffle maker and received it as a gift for Christmas. I LOVE it!!! Yes, the lid is a smidge "wiggly" but that does not affect the quality of waffle or functioning of the machine. I love the red and green lights and darkness adjuster. Our waffles come out perfect every time, and I don't have to sit there and wonder "is it done?" I have found that 1/3 c. of Betty Croker's recipe (old school Betty Crocker) is the perfect amount to make a full waffle without spilling out the sides, and is generally true for other waffle recipes I've used. We have a small family, and while I think it might be nicer to have a larger waffle maker to feed them faster, this little unit it just right. You could always start making some ahead of time and keep them warm in the oven, otherwise one waffle cooks in approximately the time it takes me to eat one, so you can have a steady flow (some might eat faster--my 16 yr old often has to wait a few minutes). I read in the instructions on how to 'season' the non-stick coating and we have never had a waffle stick. They always come right out. Without quesiton, I would recommend this waffle maker to anyone looking for a traditional style waffle maker (and find the old Betty Crocker circa 1950's waffle recipe and make the richer waffles with sweet milk. They are delicious!). It's easy to use, small to store, sturdier than cheapo plastic versions, and a good price.

3 out of 5 stars No alarm; bad recipes; otherwise fine   November 25, 2008
It could really use an audible alarm to let you know when it's done. It doesn't take long to burn. You have to keep an eye glued to the light.

The recipes in the manual are awful. Vegetable oil instead of butter? Please.

Otherwise, for the price it's pretty decent. I'm not dissatisfied, but it's not 5 stars.

4 out of 5 stars Does the job   November 19, 2008
The waffle maker makes good waffles but they are thin. It is not a belgium waffle maker but does the job. I would prefer thicker waffles but this is well worth the price.

1 out of 5 stars Returned It - TWICE!   November 12, 2008
Based on positive reviews, I bought this waffle maker. The first thing I noticed was how cheap the adjustable setting slider was. Cheap and plastic. It's so loose, I couldn't even tell which setting it was on. Cooking was inconsistent as a result of this design flaw. After a few weeks, the slider broke.

I exchanged it for another of the same model. This new one had the same design flaw. In addition, the new one kept burning waffles. I returned it, too.

I will look for a different waffle maker.
