LOVE IT! GREAT DEAL AND SO PRETTY!!! October 4, 2007
I didn't but this from Amazon but I did pay the same price at a retail store. I got 2 settings for my wedding, cause I registered for it. Then a couple years later they put it in this box set and I had to have it! It is such a good deal! Not only do you get 8, 5 piece settings, you get a platter and vegetable bowl. So now I can serve 10 people. I'm thinking of getting another box set so I can serve 18 people!!! For Thanksgiving or Christmas. It is such a beautiful pattern, it's good for all holidays or events!

Nice beautiful product. Platinum band is very attractive. Set seems sturdy enough for everyday use, but I will use it more for dinner party - special occasion. Excellent product!!

The China was beautiful, with some minor flaws. Also, a bowl was broken during shipment; the process to correct this was tedious. I had to wait for another set; then return the original set, which was a headache trying to carry this huge, very heavy box to the PO. Additionally, the invoice inside said $118.00...so, I think I was overcharged. No refund issued. I definitely wouldn't do this again.

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! A++ SERVICE - A local retail store sold one place-setting for $39 each plus shipping - by purchasing a set of 8 place-settings (with Amazon FREE SHIPPING!) if you calculate the value of the reduced price of the china - $120.00 ($25 p/p @ Amazon), the serving bowl & serving platter if bought separately, ($0 when purchased with a set of 8) and shipping (we could not pick up china from store - they required all pieces shipped @ $10-$15 s&h fees, we figured we saved well over $300.00 Order was packaged well, insured, and arrived super-quick.

If you plan to split the place settings and give as separate bridal gifts, you will need to purchase additional gift boxes. (We used decorative round hat boxes in the colors the bride chose for her home - dishes fit nicely in the round space, transport easily with the attached cords, and the hat boxes are resuable for storage) (Wrapped the serving dishes in regular gift boxes) from: Mikasa Parchment Fine China 42-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service For 8K.S.

This pattern is beautiful and it was very well packed. The only problem I had was it shipped very slow. It was well worth the wait!
