One of the nicest and sturdiest tumblers for everyday use....... June 27, 2008
I was tired of glasses always breaking and having to replace them only to have them break again. Many times, getting water from the refrigerator would cause the glass to break right in my son's hand. It seems they were always so thin that with the least bit of pressure, they would crack or would crack or break in the dishwasher.

Then I ordered the Anchor Hocking Manchester/Tartan tumblers from Amazon. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! The glass is much thicker than the ones I had previously purchased in the stores and even though I intended to use them for everyday use, the beauty of the cut and design would be even fitting for a more elegant table. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean these will replace your Waterford glasses, but they certainly would look very well on any table.

Classy, but not expensive April 21, 2008
A few years ago I purchased a set of these glasses at Target, then another, and then yet again, another. In constant use, and washed in the dishwasher, eventually some of them were broken or chipped and were discarded. Always they were attractive with any china, casual or elegant. Always they were stable, no tipping by clumsy husbands or small children. Highly recommended. Amazon's quantity buy makes them very affordable and Target no longer carries them.Anchor Hocking Manchester/Tartan 10.5-Ounce Small Tumblers, 12 Pack There are additional sizes, too, and I have the tall ones for iced tea in summer.
