Pure white, the 10-piece set for two beautifully exhibits Rosenthal's attention to contemporary design and detail. The two 8-inch plates marry a circle and square with a yin-yang sensibility, yet by slightly curving the sides of the square, Rosenthal gives the plates a modern verve. The two 5-inch rice bowls and two smaller dipping bowls, elegantly lifted on pronounced pedestal bases, display a subtle design of concentric circles. White lines also lightly decorate the chopstick rests. Included with the set are two pairs of pointed walnut chopsticks with handles partially made of stainless steel.
