Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
St. Agur is made in the village of Monts du Velay in the Auvergne region of France. Made from cow's milk and ripened for at least 2 months, this is a rich creamy blue with a spicy blue flavor. Mild in flavor and not too salty in comparison to more traditional blues, St. Agur appeals to many palettes. Perfect spread on pear or apple slices, or just on some French bread or raisin bread. Because of it's creamy nature, it melts well in sauces or just on top of chops.

4 out of 5 stars St Agur creamy blue cheese   May 31, 2008
This is my favorite creamy blue cheese. Imagine mixing an excellent quality brie with a blue cheese. The flavor is more complex and interesting than creamy blues I can get in my local supermarket. A treat that is well worth the cost. Be sure to let it come to room temperature for full flavor. I like it on stoned wheat thins or a baguette with some grapes and a glass of wine .

5 out of 5 stars An Excellent French Cheese   December 17, 2005

If I had to choose any one French cheese to eat for the rest of my life, this would be it. It may not exactly hold any snob appeal, because you can find this in every supermarket across France. However, it really satisfies.

It is a very creamy, tangy, balanced blue that neither overpowers nor bores the senses. I like this cheese best on French bread lightly dipped in olive oil infused with herbes de province...eaten outside on a warm day with some red wine and pears.

4 out of 5 stars Mild, Wonderful Blue Veined Cheese   April 13, 2005

'Saint Agur originates from the mountainous Auvergne region of central France, an area renowned for a centuries old tradition of blue cheese making. A rich blue taste with a smooth, creamy texture, Saint Agur is ideal for snacking, cooking and the cheeseboard.'

2 out of 5 stars blue cream cheese   February 20, 2005

I had a sample of this cheese today, it is very creamy, maybe to much for my taste, I prefer an harsh bite like Danish blue or Stilton, with a low cream content preferably.
