Editorial Reviews:

Product Description
Introducing our new non-porous enameled Stoneware Crock, which offers the same great features as our other stoneware products. We call it a "crock", but it is much more than that. It can be used to serve ice cream at a birthday party, fill with ice at your next cocktail party, or create a centerpiece by adding your favorite flowers!About Le Creuset... Since 1925, artisans have been crafting Le Creuset cookware in the French village of Fresnoy Le Grand. Each piece of Le Creuset cast iron cookware is handcast, polished, double enamel-coated and then fired, resulting in some of the finest quality cookware available. Cast iron is one of the best materials for distributing heat gently and thoroughly and is ideal for induction ranges. The strong enamel coating will not absorb odors or flavors, and is easy to clean. Heavy lids securely seal in moisture and flavor. Le Creuset cookware comes in a variety of sizes, colors and styles to match any kitchen and cooking preference. So lasting, you'll pass it on to the next generation of promising cooks.

5 out of 5 stars Needed a bigger crock   November 28, 2008
I've had the smaller crock for many years, it was time for a larger size. I was surprised how much larger it is. Very pleased.

5 out of 5 stars a wonderful gift   January 6, 2008

I purchased the red one for my mom and the blue one for me and we love both the colors; it is a durable on the sink item that is great for all those quick needed access items when you are cooking.

5 out of 5 stars Larger is the better   July 25, 2007

I already had smaller Utensil Crock of Le Creuset, but this larger one is better! If you are thinking whether you should get smaller or larger, you should get larger one, so you don't have to buy two of them like me after all!

5 out of 5 stars Heavy is better when talking utensil crocks!   June 20, 2007

What can you really say about a utensil crock? The batteries die too soon? The picture is clear? The author took me to a magical world of make believe?

Well, it does hold many utensils, much better than my last one.

Why would I recommend this crock over others? Weight.

This is one heavy momma. The benefit is that unlike the thin stainless holders, this thing stays in its place.

Look, we all cram as many utensils into this thing as we can. With a thin, light holder the entire crock moves around or comes with you. You actually need 2 hands...one to hold the crock and another to take out what you need.

With the weight of this crock, only one hand is needed. It stays in place.

I very much recommend this crock or any color that matches the rest of your decor. MUCH better than the stainless crock we used to use.

5 out of 5 stars Heavy, solid, holds a lot, BEAUTIFUL   June 6, 2007

Well, I love all of the red Le Creuset items and now have several of them adorning my red/black/stainless/ivory kitchen. This crock replaced a smaller mouthed black one we had, and I just love it because it's beautiful, of course, but also it holds so much. I no longer have to squeeze things in... All of my kitchen utensils fit and there's room for more!
